Fans without FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tickets can now enter the country

As Qatar changes its entry rules, fans are allowed in from 2 December.

It’s all kicking off – the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is just around the corner. As Qatar welcomes an influx of visitors, it has changed its entry rules. Fans who do not have a World Cup ticket can now enter the country from 2 December.

Previously fans who did not have a ticket could not enter Qatar. The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy have revised the rules, which means everyone can now get into the footie spirit.

On Twitter, Road to 2022 shared: “We are delighted to announce that fans without tickets can enter the State of Qatar after the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group Stage – starting from 2 Dec 2022 – to enjoy the unique atmosphere here with teams and fans in the country”.

If you are planning on visiting Qatar, make sure you up to date with the latest rules. All visitors must have proof of a negative Covid-19 test, Hayya Cards as an entry permit, and face masks on public transport. If you are struggling to book accommodation, you can take advantage of shuttle services from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jeddah and Riyadh or travel by road. Warning: it is an epic road trip, coming in at over 600 kilometres.

Even if you do not have tickets, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the atmosphere in Qatar. Saudi Arabia has announced MDLBeast Aravia, the kingdom’s spin-off for Doha. MDLBeast Aravia takes place from 21 November to 18 December, and tickets are available now.

The international names include Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Fatboy Slim, Hardwell, Rae Sremmurd, Tinie Tempah, and Tyga. The local names include Amr Diab, Ayed, and Hamaki. Plus, MDLBeast regulars are returning in the form of Biirdperson, Cosmicat, Dish Dash, and Vinyl Mode.

Qatar, we are excited.
