Two Paul Bocuse restaurants to open in Abu Dhabi

La Brasserie and Restaurant Paul Bocuse will open on Saadiyat Grove.

The late French chef Paul Bocuse was famous for his fine dining restaurants. Now, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Aldar are bringing two of his dining concepts to the capital. The restaurants include La Brasserie and Restaurant Paul Bocuse. 

Paul was born in Collonges-au-Mont-d’Or, France. He was nicknamed Monsieur Paul or Mister Paul. Over his career, he was behind the restaurant L’Auberge do Pont de Collonges, which received three MICHELIN Stars and held them for a record-breaking 55 years. He also operated a chain of brasseries in Lyon, Le Nord, L’Est, and Le Sud. Fun fact: He even inspired the chef Auguste Gusteau in the animated film Ratatouille.  

As part of Abu Dhabi’s Culinary Development Programme, the initiative aims to attract leading international restaurant brands to the capital over the next five years. La Brasserie and Restaurant Paul Bocuse are scheduled to open at Saadiyat Grove. The exact opening date has not yet been confirmed, but it is expected to be within the next two years.

La Brasserie draws inspiration from its sister restaurants in Annecy, Lyon and Paris. The menu will showcase traditional cuisine with fresh, regional and seasonal ingredients. Restaurant Paul Bocuse will offer a fine dining experience with high-quality ingredients and high-end hospitality.

This world-class culinary brand aligns with our values of providing the highest levels of quality and hospitality, and having the Paul’s name as part of the emirate’s offering will surely contribute to positioning the destination as a premier hub for gastronomy and tourism.”

With world renowned culinary brands like Paul Bocuse showing its desire to have a home at Saadiyat Grove, we are excited to work alongside DCT Abu Dhabi.”
