Kayu Bakehouse brings fabulous French desserts to Riyadh

Located in Sulimaniyah, the café serves croissants, cake and coffee.

Leave room for dessert, Riyadh. Kayu Bakehouse is making its debut in the kingdom, serving spectacular sweet treats. The concept draws its inspiration from France, and is set to add a touch of chic to the capital.

Located in Sulimaniyah, Kayu Bakehouse prides itself on being an artisanal dessert boutique. The brand specialises in French desserts, which are made using natural ingredients. Plus, these are Insta-beautiful, as they are a hit on social media – the Instagram account has 67,000 followers and counting.

If Kayu Bakehouse’s previous menus are anything to go by, we’re expecting delicious desserts and pretty pastries. We’re talking freshly baked croissants, eclairs, macaroons and more. The croissants come with fillings, which range from hazelnut and praline to pistachio.

Kayu Bakehouse’s name describes someone who is detailed, meticulous and works in engineering, mathematics or science. We’re digging the moniker, which is fitting for the concept and its creator.

Kayu Bakehouse was born in the UAE, and can be found in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Chef Karim Bourgi is behind the brand. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Paris, and trained at French restaurants. Over his career, he has been behind the opening of La Maison Du Chocolat Paris in Dubai and Kuwait. Plus, he opened Hermes Paris Café in the Fashion Avenue in Dubai Mall.

If you love a good cuppa, then you’re in the right city. Riyadh is home to plenty of exciting new cafés, which include BAC Bakery, Beika, Chestnut Bakery, French Toast & Co, Hazzat Chapati, Jones the Grocer and Said dal 1923

Kayu Bakehouse’s opening date has not yet been confirmed. Check in with FACT for the latest information.
