Sheikh Hamdan approves AED 390 million Saih Al Salam development

The route includes an outdoor cinema, hot air balloon rides, kayaking and safaris. 

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, has approved the master plan for the Saih Al Salam Scenic Route. The area will undergo an AED 390 million development from now until 2028. Exciting experiences include kayaking, safaris, outdoor cinemas, and hot air balloon rides. 

Saih Al Salam Scenic Route will include five tourist stations, a 97.86-kilometre cycle track, and an open-air cinema. The cinema will be located near the Last Exit and feature luxury marquees. The Wildlife Station will offer hot air balloons, and there will be luxury camps and elevated walking trails that will connect Love, Qudra, and Flamingo Lake. Plus, kayak tours will be available across the three lakes.

Saih Al Salam

The Adventure Station will include an adventure park and walking and fitness trails. A sandy trail for cycling and walking will be added around Expo Lake, along with budget camps and restaurants. The Cultural Experience Station will be home to a traditional majlis, and visitors can ride camels, explore the desert, and enjoy traditional meals. The Desert Adventure Station will offer dune bashing, desert cycling, dune climbing, sandboarding, and desert safari tours.

Sheikh Hamdan explained: “The master plan for the Saih Al Salam Scenic Route and Dubai Countryside and Rural Areas Development Projects reflects the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aiming to transform Dubai’s rural areas and countryside to be among the best, most beautiful, and enjoyable for all. This contributes to solidifying the emirate’s position as an ideal destination to live and work, as well as a preferred attraction for visitors from around the world.”

“We have approved the development of several facilities, along with increasing activities, events, and services within the Saih Al Salam Scenic Route project to boost tourist numbers from around half a million annually currently to over three million visitors by 2040. This will enhance the area’s position as one of Dubai’s main tourist destinations while expanding investment opportunities for locals and preserving the region’s unique nature and identity.”
