Experience Ramadan Season

Ramadan Season is aimed at celebrating the culture of Saudi Arabia, including the traditions that take place during the Holy Month of fasting. The event brings together concerts, crafts and cuisines via iftar and suhoor areas. Look out for competitions, handicrafts, exhibitions, games and sports in Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh.

Visit Huna’s first Ramadan bazaar 

Huna is a hip hangout to eat, drink and socialise. From 15 March to 3 April, it will host a Ramadan bazaar. The centre will bring together art and fashion, so expect a creative community vibe. Tickets are available now.

Check out a new members-only lounge in Jeddah

Chef and entrepreneur Basma Elkhereiji is behind the new members-only lounge, Khalia. The concept blends together Arabic traditions with modern sensibilities, and aims to be a warm and welcoming space. The menu draws inspiration from Saudi Arabia’s traditional dishes and gives them a modern twist. Plus, is boasts live entertainment, which spans DJs and bands.

Catch some football in Saudi Arabia

Footie fans can watch games across the Kingdom. Al Ittihad takes on Al Taawoun at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Damac takes on Al Nassr at Prince Sultan Abdul Aziz Sports City Stadium in Abhha, and Al Khaleek takes on Al Hilal at Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.

Discover Jasmine Box Ramadan Pop-up

Hayy Jameel is also hosting the Jasmine Box Ramadan Pop-Up. Running until 7 April in Homegrown Villa, it includes accessories, homewear and thobes. The pop-up is open from 2pm to 5pm, and 10pm to 2am.

Race your way into Battle Kart

On your marks, get set, race. If you’re a fan of the video game Mario Kart, you’ll love Battle Kart. Located in Ishbiliyah, Riyadh, the experience uses augmented reality. Players can race along tracks and use weapons including nitrous, bombs, and oil barrels. Players must be at least 145 centimetres tall, and tickets start from SAR 120.

Spend the day at Ramla Terraza 

Saudi Arabia’s new tourist attraction, Ramla Terraza, is well worth a visit. Located in Riyadh’s As Sahafah, it’s home to world-famous restaurants and cafés, plus live entertainment. So far, the high-end venues include Brute and Clap, and the casual venues include Iris Café and Jones the Grocer, which we anticipate will serve special iftar menus.

Visit KAFD Ramadan Nights 

Visit KADF Ramadan Nights in Riyadh for family-friendly fun. Located in the valley area, there are activities for all ages. Once the cannon blasts, visitors can break their fast. The area includes a Mesaharati show, a children’s play area, a bazaar, and a lounge. The event ends on 11 April, and tickets start from SAR 300.

Celebrate Eid al-Fitr 

As the Holy Month of Ramadan comes to a close, Muslims around the world will end fasting. When the moon has been sighted, it marks Eid Al Fitr, which literally translates to the festival of breaking the fast. The date is likely to fall on 10 April.

Watch the action movie Land of Bad

Catch Kuwait’s Miami Band in AlUla

Welcome to Miami in AlUla. The award-winning Miami Band is bringing its Feykom Tarah: The Miami Show to Saudi Arabia’s desert. Taking place on 12 April, the theatrical show brings together 100 performers and looks set to be a superb spectacle. This marks the first time that the Miami Band is coming to AlUla. Ouia is a playful place for a cup of coffee. The tagline states: “May cause extreme productivity and happiness”. Located in Al Qairawan, the café boasts soft blue and green tones across the seats, tables and walls. The takeaway cups come in a range of colours including black, grey and red. Watch the new family-friendly film Black Dragon

The family fantasy film Black Dragon follows Kaka. His body is invaded by an evil force, which has the power to destroy the entire world. Check out the new Bohemia Café and Records in Riyadh

Visit the In The Night art exhibition in JAX District 

 What do you do when the sun sets? In the Night at Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art explores this question. Running from 15 February to 20 May, it is all about the night, and how people spend the time between sunset and sunrise. The show brings together more than 30 local and international artists from Argentina, Croatia, France, India, Japan, Morocco, Pakistan and Tunisia.
