PIF Saudi International will tee off in Riyadh later this year

The golfing event will take place at the Riyadh Golf Club.

Sports fans, this one’s for you. Get ready to swing into action with the PIF Saudi International 2024. Taking place from 4 to 7 December at Riyadh Golf Club, golf enthusiasts can look forward to an impressive roster of players. Defending champion Abraham Ancer, Harold Varner III, Dustin Johnson, and Cameron Smith are set to compete. And that’s not all — more big names will be announced as the tournament date approaches. The players will vie for a total prize pool of over SAR 18 million ($5 million), with the winner taking home over SAR 3 million ($1 million), the most coveted prize on the Asian Tour.

For the first time, the PIF Saudi International will be held in Riyadh, moving from its previous location at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City. Made in 2005, the course offers a 72-par layout and spans 7,434 yards. It has already hosted major events like the Saudi Open, the Aramco Team Series, and the Aramco Saudi Ladies International.

The PIF Saudi International is an important tournament for golfers aspiring to join the LIV Golf League. It’s the last of 10 International Series tournaments on the Asian Tour calendar, offering direct pathways for players. The champion of the season-ending International Series Rankings will secure a spot on the 2025 LIV Golf League roster.

With a stellar lineup of players and a significant prize pool, PIF Saudi International is set to be a highlight of the golfing calendar in Saudi Arabia. So mark your calendars and get ready to witness top-tier golf in the capital.
