Editions Dubai brings affordable art to your door

This inaugural event, backed by Art Dubai Group, is perfect for those looking to get into the city’s art scene.

If there’s one thing Dubai is known for besides its luxurious lifestyle, it’s the city’s love for art. From pop-ups at Alserkal Avenue to exhibitions at d3, there’s always something to keep the art lovers entertained. And now, there’s an exciting new addition to Dubai’s art calendar: Editions Dubai.

Editions Dubai, taking place from 6 to 9 November at d3, promises to elevate the city’s art landscape. The event will feature artworks from more than 50 galleries, design studios, and collectives, including prints, contemporary design, photography, ceramics, and works on paper.

Editions Dubai is backed by the Art Dubai Group. Founded in 2007, it successfully held annual art events such as the famous Art Dubai and Downtown Design. However, this fair, as the name suggests, will focus on editioned works, which are pieces specially created for reproduction — or replicas, as some may like to say — but not in a mass-market way.

These artworks are signed by the artists and numbered, making them authentic and valuable in their own way. By creating editioned works, more art lovers can enhance their collections without the heavy price tag that one-off originals have.

Editions Dubai aims to provide yet another platform for artists and designers to reach new audiences and make pieces more accessible. The event also aims to make Dubai a global art hub, fueling economic growth.

So, if you’ve been meaning to purchase your first art piece or add more to your already exuberant collection, Editions Dubai is the place to be. Whether the event will be ticketed or not has yet to be unveiled, but stay tuned at FACT for all the insights.
