BLU Oasis opens its desert resort with Gunna and Offset

The star-studded launch party takes place on 17 December. 

BLU Oasis is opening in star-studded style. The Dubai desert resort launches on Sunday, 17 December, and is bringing headline acts. The line-up includes American rappers Gunna and Offset.

Gunna, real name Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, was born in Georgia, United States. In 2018, he rose to fame with his mixtape, Drip Season 3 and Drip Harder. In 2019, he released his debut album Drip or Drown 2. His hits include Drip Too Hard with Lil Baby, Lemonade with Nav and Power with Drake. Plus, he has been nominated for four Grammy Awards. 

Offset, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is best known as one-third of the influential hip-hop trio Migos, alongside his cousin Quavo and nephew Takeoff. The trio gained widespread recognition with their breakthrough single, Versace in 2013, marking the start of a string of chart-topping hits. Offset’s solo career has also flourished, showcasing his versatility and individual artistry. He released his debut solo album, Father of 4, in 2019, providing fans with a more intimate look into his personal life. Offset’s collaborations with other artists, as well as his marriage to fellow rapper Cardi B, have kept him in the spotlight, contributing to his status as one of the most influential figures in the rap scene today.

BLU Oasis was created by the same team behind BLU Dubai, which is famous for its celebrity shows. Recent acts include Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Kanye West, M Huncho and YG. Now, it is expanding from clubs to hotels, and opening a resort near Dubai Parks and Resorts and in the space once occupied by Qasr Al Sultan. 

BLU Oasis boasts a large outdoor club, restaurants and a pool overlooking the desert. The pool boasts a modern white and blue aesthetic. Visitors can choose from beds in and by the pool, and seats and tables perfectly positioned in the pool. Plus, there are cabanas located on the outside with plunge pools.
