Make a splash

The K-pop music event, Waterbomb Festival, is making its debut in Dubai. This event will combine music and water, and audience members are encouraged to take part in water attractions, slides and water fights. Previous sites have included bungee jumps, water cannons and zip lines, which have been used by the artists and audience. Benny Benassi, Big Naughty, Blackswan, Jessi, Nicky Romero, OTWO, Simon Dominic and tripleS have all been confirmed to join the star-studded lineup. Tickets start from AED 150.

Try a new Malaysian menu

Streetery Foodhall is collaborating with Chef Rene Johari to present “Truly Malaysian,” a street food experience. Hailing from Terengganu, Chef Rene has refined his culinary skills under the guidance of legends such as Cheong Liew, The Galvin Brothers and Tim Hughes. Renowned for blending fine-dining sophistication with Malaysian soul, Streetery Foodhall’s supper club-style experience offers a three-course menu of pomelo salad, Otak-Otak Bakar (spiced fish and shrimp patty) and Nasi Lemak Bungkus with coconut-flavored rice. End your meal with Sagu Gula Melaka, a creamy tapioca sago pudding with silky coconut milk and sweet palm sugar syrup. Tuck into a cartoon-inspired dinner

Fashion and food come together at dine-w/me X amongst few. The event reimagines food from popular characters in anime and cartoons. Guests will be gathered around a communal table, and the menu includes five dishes and two drinks. The starters include a Bug’s Bunny Carrot Salad with feta cheese, and Po’s Bread Buns with veggies. The mains include a Lady and the Tramp Spaghetti and Meatballs with mozzarella, kalamata olives and parmesan cheese. The desserts include Himi’s Strawberry French Toast, and Homer’s Spinkle Donut. Available on 8 and 9 June. AED 250 per person.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch at Nobu

Tucked away in the crown of Atlantis, The Palm, Nobu Dubai now offers a weekend lunch experience. Diners start with two options from an extensive list of 14 starters, including chicken anticucho taco, prawn dumplings, seafood ceviche, shrimp tempura, and spicy tuna maki. The main course has nine dishes to choose from, such as grilled salmon aji Amarillo salsa, lamb chops wasabi pepper, roasted duck orange miso and seabass jalapeño shiso. Available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
