Saudi Arabia is making sure that no day goes by without someone talking about the country. And now, it’s making headlines once again in the hospitality sector. Capella Hotels and Resorts — a luxury hospitality giant — has announced its first coastal destination in Saudi Arabia’s Neom.

Located in Magna’s Elanan district, the first Capella property in the region is poised to be a wellness retreat. With breathtaking views of the mountains and the Gulf of Aqaba coastline, it’s guaranteed to be a haven for relaxation and beauty.

As soon as you step into Elanan, you’ll be enveloped in nature’s embrace. The design and construction of the resort will pay tribute to the surrounding landscape. The property will feature interlocking geometric patterns that echo the natural beauty around the region. Plazas and gardens will bathe the space in natural glory — all of which can be viewed from the observation tower.

Capella at Elanan will boast 80 bespoke rooms and suites, each surrounded by lush greenery and natural springs. With a blend of contemporary design and the serene beauty of nature, guests will enjoy an unforgettable stay that focuses on holistic well-being. After all, Neom’s pushing itself to become the hub for all things wellness.

The resort will offer an extensive wellness experience, mimicking the phases of the moon. The therapies here will blend traditional Arabian practices with modern techniques.

Beyond accommodation and wellbeing, Capella at Elanan will also house four unique culinary concepts. Taking inspiration from the region, guests can expect locally sourced ingredients and flavours as part of their dishes. This Neom resort is not the first Capella Hotels and Resorts property heading to Saudi Arabia. Capella at Diriyah, a 100-key property, is expected to open in 2025, solidifying the hospitality brand’s commitment to expansion in the Middle East.
